JDR launched in June, 2013 with the aim to bring people together in syndicates to experience the excitement of racehorse ownership at an affordable cost. Since then JDR have had 28 individual winners of 56 races and have earned around £765,000 of total win and place prize money from all runners. We take a particular satisfaction from 8 of our 28 winners being home bred.
All of the JDR horses are trained in Scotland by Jim Goldie at Libohill Farm Stables, Uplawmoor, near Glasgow. Jim is one of Scotland’s longest established and most successful racehorse trainers and has trained winners for JDR on both the Flat and over the Jumps. Our horses are syndicated to Buy In or to Free Lease with minimum size shareholdings of 5% of the syndicate.
When you join a JDR syndicate you become a racehorse owner at your proportional share of total cost. Your training fees are fixed at £120 per calendar month per 5% shareholding and you will be charged a portional share of your race entry fees and jockey fees. You will also receive a portional share of your win and place prize money.
As a JDR owner you will receive an owners badge each time your horse is a declared runner and you will be able to mingle with the trainers and jockeys in the racecourse parade ring and winners enclosure before and after your race. You will also qualify for the ROA Scottish Racing Admission Scheme which provides free entry to almost all race meetings in Scotland.
Information on current Form, Entries and Horses including historical Statistics (Wins by Year and Big Race Wins) is available on the JDR page of the Racing Post website.
