All of the JDR horses have been trained in Scotland by Jim Goldie at Libohill Farm Stables, Uplawmoor, near Glasgow. Jim is one of Scotland’s longest established and most successful racehorse trainers and he has trained winners for JDR both on the Flat and over the Jumps.
Since our launch in June 2013 he has trained 28 individual winners of 56 races for JDR and earned us around £765,000 of total win and place prize money from all runners. Jim has trained winners for us at Class 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 on the Flat and at Class 3, 4 and 5 over Jumps and has placed our horses to win at 10 different racecourses. Jim has trained Flat winners for us on the Turf and on the All Weather and trained Jumps winners for us over Hurdles and over Fences. We take a particular satisfaction from 8 of our 28 winners being home bred by Jim and his team.
Libohill Farm Stables is a dual purpose racehorse training facility within the 100 acre site of Greenside Farm that was purpose built to benefit from the natural assets of the surrounding countryside. Most of the land is south westerly facing which ensures that the horse boxes are always well ventilated with a natural supply of clean, fresh air provided by the prevailing north westerly winds. The facilities at Libohill Farm Stables include a 2 furlong All Weather round gallop leading onto a 5 furlong All Weather uphill gallop as well as grass gallops, horse walkers, lunging rings and turnout paddocks.
